Original Art by Lili Dauphinee
24" x 30"
Oil, on canvas
Artist’s Reflection:
“Just Another Version of You Series began as a simple exercise in repetition but gradually became something much more profound.
Each figure is painted individually, with its own posture, presence, and quiet personality. Some stand confidently. Others fold inward. Some seem to belong, while others appear slightly out of place. Like us, no two are exactly alike.
Viewed up close, they remain individuals. Step back, and they become something larger, a reminder that our differences are often far smaller than they first appear.
This series explores the illusion of separation and the humanity we share beneath our stories, identities, and beliefs. It is an invitation to look beyond the labels we inherit and remember that every person we encounter is, in some way, just another version of ourselves.
In a world that often encourages division, I hope these paintings offer a quieter perspective. One rooted in curiosity, compassion, and the possibility that connection begins the moment we recognize ourselves in one another.”
This original 24" × 30" painting is sealed with a protective matte varnish and presented in handcrafted Belizean hardwood and ready to hang.
