The Identity Paradox
Original Art
12” x 12”
Oil and stain on cradled wood panel
2025
Artist’s Reflection:
“You know those little stories we tell ourselves? The labels we cling to and the identities we fashion? This piece reflects the paradox that while we might all share the same title, like “mom” or “artist,” our lived experiences make each of us utterly unique. I wanted to capture the tension between collective definitions and individual truth and explore how the words we use can connect us and obscure our singular journeys. It’s a reminder that the labels we inherent can’t solidify our identities but are ever-evolving narratives that we can choose to redefine.”
A piece of original art adds an eye-catching accent, some colour, and a bit of texture to a gallery wall, niche, or corner of your home.
This 12" x 12" painting is finished with a coat of protective varnish and arrives ready to hang straight from the box. Or, consider a custom Belizean hardwood floating frame for an elevated look. Just add one to your order!
