Artist’s Reflection:

“I've been thinking a lot about "the wolf you feed" lately and what I hope our future looks like for my own children.

For me it means choosing, more and more, to place my attention on what expands me. Not what extracts from me. So I'm becoming more intentional about what deserves access to me.

Turning my back on systems that profit from women being exhausted, disconnected from themselves, constantly consuming, constantly proving.
Instead turning toward beauty, rest, creativity, slowness, community, sisterhood and things that actually feel human.

The women I paint are not complacent, they are not apathetic, they are not uninformed nor heartless. They represent the brave parts of me that are willing to be misunderstood while I quietly build new beliefs and ways of life that honour the feminine, the mother, the wise women whose point of view has been ignored for far too long.”
