Artist’s Reflection:
“When I was a kid, I spent summers on the coast of New Brunswick, Canada. I remember one trip in particular when we went out for a fancy lobster dinner at a small restaurant on the shore. After we kids finished eating (and thoroughly rangy from sitting through a long “grown-up” dinner), we all headed outside and collected bucket upon bucket of sand dollars, shells, and other treasures.
The adult me would never think to disrupt an ecosystem like that now, but it was the early 90s, and you could do no wrong back then. It was such a marvelous, stark, contrasting adventure from the creeks and wooded areas I played in back home, and I genuinely believe it was the moment I fell in love with the magic of Earth’s seas and oceans.
It’s no wonder I ended up living on the sea again as an adult; she’s been calling for me since childhood. And now I get to watch my kiddos soak up her beauty and wonder, too.”
A piece of original art adds an eye-catching accent, some colour, and a bit of texture to a gallery wall, niche, or corner of your home.
This 30” x 40” painting is finished with a coat of protective varnish and arrives rolled for efficient and safe delivery. Should you have questions regarding stretching original art, please check out our blog post HERE or contact us directly at artlovers@lilidauphinee.com
